George was my buddy and dear friend. He was entertaining, full of personality and a trooper all the way to the end of his wonderful life. He came to me as a young, energetic cattle dog mix who participated in daycare and boarded with us. Boy did he love it! His mom told me he never wanted to leave and sometimes she would have to drag him back to her car after daycare. When he spent the night, he would always come up to the house with me. In the morning he would run back down to the Doggie Cottage and help me open. One day his owner asked me if I would be interested in adopting him. I said of course I would! George seemed to like my place and his mom was comfortable with the move. George was an instant hit! He would play and run around trying to herd all his friends down at the Doggie Cottage. He never missed a day. He would always run around the front yard, playing with the dogs who were getting picked up. He was part of my family for many years. I was truly blessed to have him in my life. He touched so many others to. The way he used to wiggle his body and then stand up on his back legs with both front legs stretched way up. I'll miss his face expressions and those ears of his would go in so many directions. Sometimes he would look so sad and guilty and other times so goofy and pathetic. Our little George, all of us at the Doggie Cottage will miss him so much and we will always think about him.
We will miss you dearly. So sweet and gentle. What a great dog you were. We were blessed to have you in our lives.
